Carsington Water

Carsington Water is a large Reservoir just between Wirksworth and Ashbourne. The reservoir has been a very popular visitor attraction since being opened by the Queen in 1992. The lively visitor centre provides a wide range of facilities. These include shops selling souvenirs, craft items, books etc.  There is also a cafe and a restaurant.

Caxterway - The house is so spacious, with plenty of room for everyone to both have their own privacy and enjoy well-designed communal areas too.  The house is very well equipped and the quality of the furnishing is good.  There is plenty to do in the beautiful countryside nearby including walks and cycle rides. We hope to return soon! 18.8.2017 – Cheryl – United Kingdom
