Each of the 5 bedrooms at Caxterway have been designed for comfort with en-suite bathrooms for the doubles and a shared bathroom/shower for the two twin rooms. Downstairs this barn conversion offers a high spec finish with the kitchen having a fridge/freezer, washing machine, electric Range oven and hob and dishwasher. The barn has the luxury of large, full height windows which flood the accommodation with light and provide wonderful views of the countryside.

There is ample parking outside as well as use of a large communal courtyard with plenty of seating for alfresco dining, BBQ’s or enjoying a glass of Prosecco in the glow of the evening sun.  The barn also has a patio area to the back of the property and all guests have access to an adjacent grass field for ball sports or exploring.

Amenities

Caxterway is situated on the edge of Chelmorton village which is lucky enough to have its own village pub, The Church Inn, an ideal place to stop for lunch or visit after a long days exploring the Peak District.  The food and ambience are excellent here and there are plenty of other local farm shops and independent businesses to visit nearby if you need provisions.

Pets

Caxterway will accept well a behaved pet because we understand that pets can be part of the family and it can be a struggle to leave them behind.  If you want your pooch to enjoy the Peak District with you then there are lots of routes suitable for dog walking and also many pubs and cafes are dog friendly, which is a bonus.

Location

Ideally located in the heart of the stunning countryside but still only a short drive to the nearest town.  The stately home, Chatsworth House is a short drive away and boasts a fantastic art collection, lush gardens, with a fabulous art collection, a playground and farmyard which small children will love.

The pretty market and spa towns of Bakewell, Buxton and Matlock are also a short drive if you fancy some retail therapy and for the bigger children and theme park lovers, Gulliver’s Kingdom is half an hour drive as well.
