The kitchen/dining area is well equipped with a high spec finish including a fridge/freezer, washing machine, electric oven and dishwasher. There is a large kitchen table for dining and plenty of comfortable sofas for relaxing in after a long day’s walk or cycling.

All the furniture and furnishings, including the beds, of which there are 3 doubles on the first floor,  are good quality to ensure complete comfort at all times.

Red Hurst is full of character inside and out and has been decorated to a high standard throughout.  It is an ideal cottage for families or groups to enjoy and it provides ample parking for multiple cars.  The large communal courtyard has plenty of seating for alfresco dining, BBQs or simply enjoying a glass of Prosecco in peace and quiet.  Red Hurst has a private patio area as well and all guests have use of an adjacent grass field for ball sports.

Amenities
Red Hurst is situated in the heart of the Peak District, on the edge of Chelmorton village.  Nearby there is a wonderful village pub, The Church Inn, which is an excellent establishment, full of character and has recently won the CAMRA high peak pub of the year in 2016 – so rest assured the quality of the food and drink are second to none.

There are many local farm shops and independent cafes/restaurants to visit nearby if there is anything you need or the towns of Bakewell, Matlock and Buxton are a short drive if you need a large supermarket.

Pets
Red Hurst welcomes all dogs as pooches are part of the family too. The Peak District is the perfect place to explore with your dogs although be mindful of any livestock and keep your dog under control at all times.  Many local pubs and cafes are dog friendly as well.

Location
The location of Red Hurst is ideal for families who like peace and quiet, exploring and adventure, walking, cycling and visiting picturesque towns and quaint villages. There is something for everyone here.

Steeped in history and surrounded by breathtaking scenery and idyllic farmland, the holiday accommodation is only a short drive to Chatsworth House which is well worth a visit. The stately home has a fantastic art collection, lush gardens, a playground and farmyard which is ideal for children and adults alike.

Bakewell, Buxton and are pretty spa towns and are only a short drive away if you fancy some retail therapy.  For theme park lovers, Gulliver’s Kingdom is half an hour drive as well.
